Slow growth is the intention behind this piece. The idea of immediacy is so seductive, isn’t it? Instant health! Instant love! instant spirituality! We’ve all been swayed by it repeatedly.

Thankfully, we are beginning to learn that growing slowly is more sustainable and effective in the long term. Imagine the slowness it takes for fertile ground to turn into a meadow, and then for that meadow to turn into a lush forest. That’s the vibe.

All of the stones are agates which vibrate gently, and invite feelings of calm.

Moss Agate has been linked to nurturing and rejuvenation. Some types of moss can take two years to form, and the result is a beautiful, lush, protective softness.

Flower Agate is linked to slow, yet powerful growth. Think of the energy it takes for a seed to crack open and then push through the soil. And then think of the oak tree that forms from that seed.

The focal stone is a Botswana Agate that has been sitting in my desk for over a year, just waiting to be part of the most suitable project.
